Coldiac

Originally formed in Malang, East Java, Indonesia in 2015, Coldiac is a pop band that consists of 4 people; Sambadha Wahyadyatmika (Vocal/Guitar), Mahatamtama Arya Adinegara (Vocal/Guitar), Derry Rith Haudin (Keys & Synths/Backing Vocals), and Bhima Bagaskara (Bass).

Coldiac had previously released two studio albums that they produce on their own, ‘Heartbreaker’ in 2016 and ‘O’ two years afterwards. The band gained the attention from more people after the release of ‘‘Wreck This Journal’ in the middle of 2017. Their first single off the second album ‘O’ called TARA also gained much recognition after the release, soon after the band started to received reviews from the press and was declared one of the acts to watch of the year 2018. A year after, in mid 2019 Coldiac announced their signing to JUNI Records (notable as Raisa, Kunto Aji, Ramengvrl, and Tashoora’s record label). They released singles such as "Don't (Love Me)", "Tiffany" and also their EP "No Make Up" under the label.

Some might think that Coldiac might be heavily Influenced by the 1975 however for the band itself they had always brought up a wide variety of music genre to the band - With having songs that contains some pretty catchy choruses and hooks, Coldiac had taken many of their influence from the likes of Japanese Pop such as ucky Tapes, South Korean music like DEAN, Hyukoh, Hip Hop from Tyler the Creator and his odd future gang, even to Synthwave like the 1989 or even the Midnight and many other Indie Pop artists.

The band believe that there is no limitation when it comes to expressing yourself with music, the more genre there is the more emotion you’ll get from the sound that you pick.
